Gaana Pehchano: hear the song, tap the word, win the round
A Bollywood song plays on the big screen. Every player sees a set of words on their phone, one word from each song. The first person to tap the word that belongs to the song wins 100 points. No song names on screen, only ears, memory and speed.
Built by Saurabh Jain, corporate trainer and motivational speaker from Jaipur, to open a session with energy, bring every age group together and get a quiet room laughing in two minutes.

How to play the Bollywood song guessing game
- Scan and join. Every player scans the QR code on the big screen with the phone camera, or presses Scan QR code on this page, and types a name. No app, no login.
- A song plays. After a 3, 2, 1 countdown the game plays a Bollywood song by itself. The video stays hidden behind a "Mystery song" cover, so nobody sees the name.
- Tap the word. Each phone shows one word from every song. Tap the word that belongs to the song you hear.
- First right tap wins. The first correct tap gets 100 points and the whole room sees who got it and how fast.
- Tap, then confirm. Tap a word and press Confirm, so a stray tap while scrolling never counts.
- Wrong answer costs 20 points. A wrong answer also locks you out until the next song, so think before you confirm.
- See the answer. After each song the big screen and every phone show the right word in big letters, and the screen shows how many songs are done, like 10/15.
- Double points at the end. The last 3 songs are worth 200 points each, so nobody gives up early.
- 3 in a row bonus. Win 3 songs in a row and get a 50 point bonus, every time you do it.
- Play solo or in teams. In team mode every player picks a team on the phone, and the team with the highest total wins.
- Top score wins the game. After the last song the podium shows the top three.
Set it up in five minutes
- Open this page on the laptop connected to the projector and the speakers.
- Press Host a game. All 15 songs are ready and play from YouTube by themselves. Press Test on any song to check the sound.
- Check the word for each song, set the guess time, then press Create game room.
- Players scan the QR code with their phone camera or type the 5 letter code. Their names pop up on the screen.
- Press Start the game. The game plays each song, counts down and keeps the score.
Weak internet? Choose "The game plays my song files" to use MP3s from the laptop, or "I will play the songs myself" and play each song from a phone or speaker. The game still runs the buzzers, timer and score.
Why this song game works for teams and employees
Music is the fastest way to change the energy in a room. A song quiz turns that energy into focus, friendly competition and shared laughter.
Active listening
Players must catch one word in a busy song. It is the same skill a team needs to hear the real point in a client call.
Speed with accuracy
Tap fast and you may win. Tap wrong and you are out for that song. Teams feel the balance between speed and getting it right.
Every generation plays
Songs from 1961 to 2022 mean seniors win the classics and juniors win the new hits. Everyone gets a moment to shine.
Instant energiser
Use it after lunch, to open a workshop or at an annual day. In ten minutes a quiet room is singing and cheering.

Gaana Pehchano FAQ
What is Gaana Pehchano?
Gaana Pehchano is a free online Bollywood song guessing game for teams. A song plays on the big screen, every player sees one word from each song on their phone, and the first player to tap the right word wins 100 points.
How many people can play?
From 2 players to a full training hall of about 100. Every player needs a phone with internet. The host needs one laptop with a projector and speakers.
Do players need to install an app?
No. Players scan the QR code on the big screen with the phone camera, or open this page, press Scan QR code or type the 5 letter code. It works in any phone browser.
Where do the songs come from?
The game plays all 15 songs by itself from YouTube, hidden behind a Mystery song cover so nobody sees the name. The host can paste a different YouTube link for any song, use MP3 files from the laptop, or play the songs from a phone or speaker.
Can players see the song name?
No. Phones only show the word buttons and the score. The song video stays covered on the big screen. The screen shows who got it first and how fast, never the song name, unless the host turns on the reveal setting.
Can I change the songs or the words?
Yes. Change any word, remove a song, or add your own songs with a film name and one word before you create the game room.
What if the office Wi-Fi blocks the game?
Ask players to switch to mobile data, or run the laptop on a mobile hotspot. The game uses a free public live server, so some strict office networks block it.
What does a team learn from it?
Active listening, quick and accurate decisions under time pressure, and team bonding across age groups, because the songs run from 1961 to 2022.
